GMC reg: 4014225Mr Morris's main research interests are in cleft lip and palate and vascular anomalies. Having completed a formal period of research on the molecular basis of vascular anomalies as a Wellcome Trust Fellow, research continues to be a passion to improve medical care, and he regularly publishes journal articles and book chapters as well as presenting at scientific meetings. A recent UK wide audit of hypospadias repair put Mr Morris as the top UK surgeon for this type of procedure with excellent clinical outcomes. Mr Morris qualified from Leicester University Medical School. His surgical training was in teaching hospitals in Leicester and Norwich, moving to Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge to complete his general plastic surgery training. Research success and clinical experience gained in New Zealand have been instrumental in drawing up guidelines and new protocols in all aspects of plastic surgery in the UK. Utilising best practice and evidence-based medicine in setting skin cancer outpatient anticoagulation guidelines and improving burns facility paediatric burns management. Mr Morris completed a National Interface Training Fellowship in Cleft Lip and Palate at Newcastle and Leeds University Hospitals. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and is on the General Medical Council's Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. Mr Morris is proud of his role as one of the National Lead Trainers of future cleft lip and palate surgeons. Giving him the privileged opportunity to train aspiring cleft surgeons from both the UK and overseas.
