Dr Paul Crowe

Dr Crowe is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist in full time private practice with practices in Birmingham and London. He previously worked for 27 years at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, part of the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust. He has special interests in vascular and urological radiology and uterine artery embolisation for fibroids, having performed over 5000 fibroid embolisation procedures. He undertakes ultrasound, CT and MRI scanning as well as a wide range of minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures. Dr Crowe attended Trinity College Medical School in Dublin, graduating in 1988 and following specialist training in radiology and further subspecialty training in interventional radiology was appointed consultant in 1998. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists, actively participates in teaching and research and is an invited speaker at various national meetings and conferences. He sits on local committees including the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust Novel Therapeutics committee and has held posts in national organisations, e.g. Chair of the Communications Committee of the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR). He is an international adviser to the Fibroid Relief organisation
