Dr Paul Blaker

I am Dr Paul A Blaker, Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Physician. I am the current Deputy Chief of the Medicine and Emergency Care Division at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, where I joined as a consultant in 2014.  Prior to this I was a specialist registrar in London and South East between 2006 - 2014, and completed a PhD investigating immunosuppression in IBD at Kings College University in London.  In addition to general gastroenterology, I have a sub-specialist interest in the management of inflammatory bowel disease and I was the lead of IBD at MTW NHS Trust from 2016 - 2023. I am a JAG recognised trainer in endoscopy and complete both upper and lower diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
