GMC reg: 3291993After completing Medical School and housejobs at St Mary's in London in 1988-1989, I undertook SHO training in Leicester and Cambridge obtaining FRCS (Eng) in 1992 and MD in 1994 before completing specialist training on the Pott rotation at Barts, Norwich and Stanmore, obtaining FRCS(Orth) in 1997. In 1999, I was appointed Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon at King’s College Hospital where I specialise in Hip surgery. I have trained and taught a succession of Senior Fellows (Senior Registrars) and Registrars who are now consultants and together, we have published and presented many peer-reviewed scientific papers over a period of two decades. For many years, I was the National Joint Registry Lead, stepping down in 2017 after 15 years in the role. I was also Governance Lead (2010-2012) and Lead Clinician between 2012-2017. I am a peer reviewer for the Bone and Joint Journal (previously Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery), the premier scientific publication of the Orthopaedic community. Outside of Orthopaedics, my interests are family orientated and I also enjoy being walked by our Jack Russell Terrier.
