Dr Owais Kadwani

Dr. Owais Kadwani is a Consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine at Guy's and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Trust, where he leads the pleural service. A graduate of University College London Medical School, he qualified with distinction in Clinical Science and Clinical Practice. Dr. Kadwani trained in Respiratory Medicine in the North West London deanery, gaining experience at renowned institutions including The Royal Brompton, Hammersmith, and St Mary's Hospitals. He further specialised by completing a fellowship in pleural disease at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust in 2020.Dr. Kadwani has a particular interest in thoracic ultrasound, pleural disease, pleural procedures, and bronchoscopy. In addition to his subspecialty work, he is actively involved in general respiratory medicine, general medicine, and the medical high dependency unit. As a primary investigator in several trials for pleural disease, he regularly trains junior colleagues in thoracic ultrasound, pleural interventions, and respiratory disease management. His team has presented their work at both national and international conferences. Dr. Kadwani is a member of the British Thoracic Society and the European Respiratory Society, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing respiratory care
