Graduated in Nigeria in 1988 ., Diploma in child health in 1994, MRCPCH in 1995 and Fellow of the Royal college of Paediatrician s in 2005 .

I am the lead for Paediatric Oncology Shared Care service at the North Middlesex NHS Trust. with a multidisciplinary team we have a coordinated approach to diagnosis, treatment and care servicefor all patients diagnosed with Paediatrics cancer.. Managing episodes of febrile neutropenia with supportive care and providing long-term follow-up in a weekly Haematology and Oncology clinic. I am a registered peer reviewer for both the Paediatric Oncology shared care service,Haemoglobinopathy service and non malignant Haematology I am the lead consultant for Paediatric Haemoglobinopathies.lead a Specialist Haemoglobinopathy service that has recently been peer reviewed with an excellent report as regards the standards of service provided. We provide a comprehensive service and manage over 250 patients including patients as part of a shared care service with local the Haemoglobinopathy centres in the region. There are at least 20 new patients with haemoglobinopthies seen at the centre yearly. We manage the transfusion programme for Thalassaemic and sickle cell patients and contributing to improvement of iron chelation. I am the Training Programme director for North central and East sector for NHSE for the 12 years . The equivalent training is provided to the undergraduate trainees by members of the Paediatric team by being exposed to all areas of the paediatric department during their training. Teaching and training is provided during my inpatient and outpatients clinical sessions to all medical studentsfor both UCL and SGU students. They gain clinical competencies in history taking and examination. The students attend the weekly paediatric departmentaltraining sessions which include simulation, communication and skilled basedassessment training. I am also an examiner for the medical student final examination. I am a qualified as an MRCP and DCH examiner.
