Mr Oliver Warren is Clinical Director of Surgery and a Consultant Colorectal and Hernia surgeon at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, One Welbeck Digestive Health, and the Lister Hospital. He is a fully trained robotic surgeon with a busy NHS and private resectional practice. He chairs the Abdominal Wall Reconstruction MDT at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and is a core member of the Cancer MDT and Endometriosis MDT. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery and Cancer, Imperial College London. He qualified from Imperial College London in 2001, coming top of his class in both medicine and surgery. He gained his Doctorate in 2009 from Imperial College London. In 2012 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons for which he was awarded the ASGBI Gold Medal for outstanding performance. Prior to becoming a consultant he undertook colorectal surgery fellowships at St. Mark's Hospital, London, the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney and was the 2013 Association of Coloproctology’s visiting fellow at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA. Oliver has published over 150 peer reviewed publications and book chapters and in 2015 published his first book entitled ‘Going into Hospital? A guide for patients, carers and families' which seeks to engage patients in their care throughout the entire pathway and help patients improve their quality of care directly. He lives in London with his wife and two daughters, enjoys travel and is a keen oenophile.
