I am a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon with a specialist interest in minimally invasive surgery (robotic and VATS) and thoracic surgical oncology. I treat all aspects of general adult thoracic surgery including but not limited to primary and secondary lung cancer, lung nodules, thymoma/myasthenia gravis, mediastinal disease, pneumothorax, pleural disease/effusion, disorders of the diaphragm, chest wall (rib and sternum) disorders including fixation for trauma, slipping rib syndrome and hyperhidrosis. The types of surgery I specialise in include minimally invasive thoracic surgery, including robotic and VATS techniques, robotic lung resections (lobectomy and segmentectomy) for primary and secondary lung cancers, robotic and navigational bronchoscopy for diagnosis and treatment of lung nodules including early-stage lung cancer and enhanced recovery after surgery and the use of ambulatory chest drains to facilitate early patient discharge. I completed an advanced thoracic surgical oncology fellowship at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, USA and gained advanced experience in the care of patients with all types of thoracic cancers including primary and secondary lung cancer, thymic cancer and mesothelioma. I also gained extensive experience in robotic surgery. Prior to my time in New York, I also completed a dedicated robotic thoracic surgery fellowship at Guy's Hospital, London.
