Obstetrics and gynaecology - General Gynaecology
Mr Odiri Oteri has a Specialist Interest in Minimally Invasive Treatment of Heavy Menstrual Bleeding. He performs diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopies. This means patients can have endometrial ablation to treat their heavy periods. If women have polyps in the womb these can be removed by hysteroscopic trancervical resection. The benefit is these treatments are less invasive and can be done as day cases. The result is a quicker recovery and return to normal with an improved quality of life. These treatments also reduce the need for more invasive surgery like a hysterectomy and its associated longer recovery.
