GMC reg: 3666157Nimish completed his undergraduate training in medicine at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in London in 1992. After basic surgical training, he undertook two years of research in neuromodulation of neuropathic bladder dysfunction in spinal cord injured patients, leading to a higher degree (Master of Surgery). Following his specialist training in urology, he chose to subspecialise in endourology (endoscopic laser treatment of kidney stones, ureteric transitional cell carcinoma ) and minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery, at Guys Hospital and Kings College Hospital in London. He was appointed a consultant urological surgeon at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2004, and has admitting rights at Cambridge Nuffield Hospitals. In addition to general urology, his specialist interest include management of renal stone disease, and robotic radical prostatectomy. He is a high volume surgeon, undertaking over 100 robotic radical prostatectomy procedures annually and has performed over 1900 procedures to date with excellent outcomes.
