I am a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in Vitreoretinal Surgery, Cataract Surgery, and Medical Retina and provide private Ophthalmology services within Clarity Healthcare. I completed 6 years of advanced subspecialty training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, an internationally recognised centre for ophthalmic care, training, and research. I have over 15 years of experience in Ophthalmology. My medical degree was obtained from the University of Athens, followed by specialist Ophthalmology training and a PhD from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. In 2015, I was awarded Fellowship of the European Board of Ophthalmology , and I subsequently undertook six years of subspecialty training in Vitreoretinal Surgery, Cataract surgery and Medical Retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital. My primary area of clinical practice is Vitreoretinal and complex Cataract Surgery. I also manage a broad range of retinal conditions, including Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, and Retinal Vein Occlusions. I offer a range of surgical and medical treatment options tailored to individual patient needs, including premium intraocular lenses. I aim to provide careful, patient-centred care and maintain a clear and open approach to communication throughout diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. I remain available to patients for postoperative concerns when required. In addition to my clinical work, I have an interest in research and medical education. My doctoral research explored the relationship between Glaucoma and Vitreoretinal Surgery, and I have contributed to peer-reviewed publications and clinical trials. Finally, I take an active role in the training and supervision of junior Ophthalmologists.
