Special clinical interests
Hip - I have an interest in conservative and surgical management of hip problems. I perform cemented, hybrid and uncemented hip replacements using metal, ceramic and highly cross linked polyethylene bearing surfaces. I perform revision hip replacements for loosening/wear/infection and dislocation problems. I have a special interest in metal on metal hip replacement and resurfacing follow up and monitoring. Knee - I have an interest in injuries and degeneration of the knee. I manage acute knee injuries including ligament and fracture problems. I perform knee arthroscopy (keyhole surgery) regularly and specialise in meniscal repair, resection, removal of loose bodies, chondroplasty and ligament reconstruction. I perform partail and total knee replacements and have significant experience in revision knee replacements for loosening/wear/infection/poor range of movements.
