GMC reg: 3495247Mr Nick Reay-Jones is a Consultant Surgeon and Coloproctologist at the East and North Herts NHS Trust based at the Lister Hospital , Stevenage. He qualified from St Mary`s Hospital Medical school in 1990 and undertook his higher surgical training in the North Thames region finishing as RSO at St Marks Hospital before being appointed as Consultant in 2002. In 2005 he set up the laparoscopic colorectal surgery service in the Trust and is now the senior Colorectal surgeon. Since 2009 he has supervised post CCST fellows in laparoscopic colorectal surgery. He is a member of the faculty at the Iceni centre in Colchester and helps run the STEPS Colorectal course for senior surgical trainees. He has extensive experience in surgery for bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, gallbladder, hernias, anorectal disease.
