Mr Nicholas Hancock

Mr Nick Hancock is a leading and fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Knee Surgery and Trauma. He is widely published in his field, is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and an active member of the British Association of Surgeons of the Knee. As Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the University Hospitals of Southampton, Mr Hancock helps develop the latest surgical techniques and regularly teaches other surgeons in the UK and abroad. He has led the Department of Trauma and Orthopaedics for 5 years and now offers the highest level of experience to his private and NHS patients. Mr Hancock qualified as a doctor from the University of Cape Town in 1998 and after working for 2 years in South Africa he moved to the UK to pursue a career on Orthopaedic Surgery. He obtained a Fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons in 2009 and then spent a year specialising in Sydney, Australia with the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales. There, he gained further expertise in knee replacement, knee resurfacing and ligament reconstruction treating high level athletes and sports professionals.
