Dr Neville Kukreja is an internationally recognised Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, renowned for his expertise in coronary angioplasty, stenting, and advanced invasive coronary imaging techniques. He has been invited to lecture at major cardiology conferences across Europe and the United States and is actively involved in training junior cardiologists and shaping cardiac services at a national level. His contributions to the field have helped advance the standards of interventional cardiology both in the UK and internationally. Dr Kukreja began his medical training at the prestigious University of Cambridge, followed by clinical studies in London. He completed specialist training in Interventional Cardiology at leading institutions including St Mary’s Hospital, the Royal Brompton Hospital, and the world-renowned Thoraxcenter in Rotterdam. These experiences provided him with extensive expertise in the most advanced and complex coronary procedures. He is a member of several esteemed professional bodies, including the British Cardiovascular Society, the European Society of Cardiology, European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) and European Bifurcation Club. He also plays an active role in shaping regional and national cardiology strategy. His clinical interests span the full spectrum of adult cardiology, with a particular focus on: Coronary artery disease Angina and chest pain Coronary angioplasty and stent insertion including complex high risk intervention (chronic occlusions, rotational atherectomy) Invasive coronary imaging (including IVUS and OCT) Permanent pacemaker implantation Risk assessment and prevention of heart disease Assessment of breathlessness, palpitations, and hypertension Dr Kukreja has a strong academic background, having co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and more than 50 scientific abstracts presented at national and international cardiology meetings. His research interests include the optimisation of coronary intervention techniques and the use of advanced imaging to improve patient outcomes.
