I had basic surgical training in Mumbai, India and Wales. I then got a fellowship in Liver transplantation from the London Health Sciences Centre, London, Ontario Canada. I came back to to the UK to complete my training in Birmingham and King's College London. I started my Consultant career in Cardiff in 2002. I established the only liver unit in Wales which has now expanded to a 4 consultant unit. We have performed over 1400 liver resecitons with some of the best results in the World.

I am a specialist in Liver, gallbladder and bile duct surgery having established the Cardiff Liver unit in 2002. I have performed over 850 liver resections and have extensively published on this. We are the only centre in Wales to perform liver surgery.
