Miss Ms Mahboub Hawkes

Mahboub Hawkes is a Consultant Ophthalmologist. She qualified the American University in Tehran, Iran. She spent the last 2 years of her medical school in UCLA (California). She trained in Moorfields Eye Hospital gaining 3 fellowships: in glaucoma (Prof. Roger Hitchings), oculoplasty (Prof Richard Collin) and macular disorder (Professor Alan Bird). She was involved with the first trial of treatment for macular degeneration in UK as consultant in Queens Hospital. She is now working in the private sector at Spire Wellesley Hospital (Southend) and 10 Harley Street. Her main interests are age related macular degeneration, oculoplastics and glaucoma and Cataract.
