Ms Helen Mathers

Ms Mathers graduated in medicine from Queen's University Belfast in 1996. She completed a surgical training programme in Northern Ireland, gaining fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh prior to completing an International Breast Surgery Oncology fellowship in Toronto, Canada. In 2009 she was admitted to the Specialist register for General Surgery. Ms Mathers initially took up a consultant post in Altnagelvin Hospital in 2010 prior to moving to her current position as Consultant Breast Surgeon in Craigavon Hospital in 2015.  Ms Mathers has extensive training in all types of breast cancer surgery, having undertaken a further period of training in breast reconstruction in the Royal Marsden Hospital in London in 2017.
