Mrs Ms Joanna Jurowska-Liput

Mrs Joanna Liput is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with subspecialist interest in glaucoma at York Teaching and Harrogate Hospitals. She performs high volume cataract surgeries, glaucoma surgeries, including trabeculectomies, aqueous shunts and MIGS (minimally invasive glaucoma surgery). She graduated Medical University in Wroclaw (Breslau) in Poland. During her training she gained experience being affiliated with the glaucoma team and at Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University, in New York, at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and at Nottingham University Hospital where she undertook and completed fellowship training in glaucoma. She attended charity program supporting Khairabad Eye Hospital in Kanpur in India by performing high volume cataract surgery. She was granted by EBO (European Board of Ophthalmology) and took part in the ophthalmic residence exchange program at Eye&Ear Hospital in Dublin. She completed her PhD thesis on ‘Quality of life in glaucoma.
