Mr Faridi is a full time consultant ophthalmologist at Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester. He is a highly experienced ophthalmologist with a varied clinical experience. He qualified from Khyber Medical College, University of Peshawar and had had his Post-graduate qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He had his initial ophthalmic training in Pakistan as trainee registrar at a tertiary care centre, Post-graduate Medical institute, Lady Reading Hospital. He had further training in United Kingdom. He worked in various units. He regularly rotated in various ophthalmic subspecialties in order to keep updated with clinical knowledge and skills. He was involved in various service development projects, such as eye casualty service. He was also involved in the research and clinical audit throughout his career and few of his projects were published in the peer review journals. He was a principal investigator of an independent 3 way Prostaglandin trial. He completed his glaucoma fellowship from a high profile glaucoma unit of the southwest region at West of England Eye Unit, Exeter. He then worked as locum consultant in glaucoma in the same unit, which helped him to achieve a high degree of expertise in this field.
