GMC reg: 4615341Mr Halsey is a fellowship trained full time Consultant Hand & Wrist Surgeon. Mr Halsey graduated from the University of Bristol Medical School in 1999, was a junior surgeon in London and completed his specialist orthopaedic training on the Cambridge rotation in 2011. He then spent two years gaining additional training to specialise in hand and wrist surgery with fellowships in London and Melbourne, Australia. Supported by a travelling bursary from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Tim visited centres of excellence in Lyon, Reims and Paris to learn advanced wrist arthroscopy techniques. His interest in wrist trauma was further developed through an AO Trauma Fellowship in Salzburg, Austria. He has been a full time consultant Hand & Wrist Surgeon since 2013. Mr Halsey has published, presented and won several national prizes for research articles on a variety of subjects related to hand surgery. Mr Halsey holds the European Diploma in Hand Surgery and is a member of the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, the Faculty of Surgical Trainers and the British Mountain Medicine Society. Tim was a substantive consultant in the combined Ortho-plastic hand surgery department at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in Central London for 4 years, weekly commuting from the Peak District, where he lives with his wife and three children. He is now enjoying working closer to home.
