GMC reg: 4652951Steve is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based at Stepping Hill Hospital with NHS clinics at Tameside, Maccelsfield, and Leighton Hospital. Steve graduated from Newcastle University and has worked in the North East of England, Australia, New Zealand. He has a wide experience of general urology, but also specialises in male infertility and urological cancer. He works with fertility units across the North West, including Manchester Fertility Services, The Centre for Reproductive Health in Daresbury, and CARE fertility Manchester. He is involved in the diagnosis and treatment of men with fertility problems as well as performing a high number of reversal of vasectomies. He performs reversal of vasectomy with an operating microscope to achieve the best results. He is also involved in infertility research and has published many articles in this area of expertise. Steve sits on the Manchester Cancer pathway board for Urology, helping with delivery of Urology cancer care across the region. He uses the Da Vinci Robot to perform robotic surgery including high numbers of partial nephrectomy and pyeloplasty. He also uses his experience to train others in robotic surgery. He also has a keen interest in education, and leads on medical student teaching in my department. He was awarded a certificate of medical education from the University of Dundee and teaches and lectures medical students and health professionals, including trainee Urologists.
