Mr Stephen Warren

I qualified from London University in 1986 and was appointed as a consultant in 1999. My interests in colorectal and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery have led to over 100 publications in these areas, and particularly clinical research into reducing pain after surgery and irritable bowel syndrome following my Masters Thesis in this area. I am a General Surgeon with specialist interests in Laparoscopic (keyhole) and Colorectal Surgery. Most of my operations are performed laparoscopically (with less pain and better postoperative recovery) including all hernia repairs and gallstone surgery, but also any colorectal bowel removal with keyhole surgery for conditions such as bowel cancer, Crohn's disease and diverticulitis. I investigate and treat all bowel and anorectal conditions e.g. piles, rectal bleeding and pain, as well as constipation, diarrhoea and abdominal pain.
