Mr Srikandan Kamalarajah

I am a Consultant Ophthalmic surgeon with a specialist interest in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital disorders. I am based at the Royal Victoria Hospital and also have sessions in the Mater and Downpatrick Hospitals. I graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Dundee. I completed my basic Ophthalmic training in the Royal Victoria hospital, Belfast. During this time i also undertook a period of ophthalmic research towards a Doctor of Medicine at Queen’s University Belfast. I became a Fellow in Oculoplastic, Orbital and Lacrimal surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, in 2002. I was appointed Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon at Altnagelvin Hospital, Londonderry, in 2003. I then moved to the Belfast Trust in June 2011, where I am currently based. I am a Fellow of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth), member of The British Medical Association (BMA) and British Oculoplastic Surgeons Society (BOPSS).
