After graduating from Edinburgh Medical School, Mr Carr underwent higher surgical training in Otolaryngology in the Yorkshire Deanery. During his training, he undertook higher research which resulted in being awarded a MD research degree. After gaining his CCT, Mr Carr undertook 2 prestigious clinical fellowships in Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery at Toronto General Hospital, and Paediatric Cochlear Implantation at the Hospital for Sick Children. Following his fellowship, he was appointed as a full-time NHS Consultant at Sheffield Children's Hospital, Royal Hallamshire Hospital and Bradford Royal Infirmary. Mr Carr has presented at national and international meetings and has published 39 peer-reviewed papers and 10 book chapters. He is a regular faculty member on regional temporal bone courses, as well as FRCS revision courses.
