I am a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hip and knee replacement surgery, arthroscopy and young adult hip problems. My NHS practise is based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, where I am the lead surgeon for the National Joint Registry and I also lead the fracture neck of femur service.
After being selected to attend Colchester Royal Grammar School, I obtained an intercalated First Class Bachelor of Science degree and then graduated with honours in Medicine, from the University of Southampton. I then completed my higher surgical training on the East Anglian rotation, based primarily at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge and the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. I am married and have two wonderful daughters, Amrita and Priya, that keep me busy. I was raised in East Anglia and have thoroughly enjoyed settling in Norwich.
