Mr Siddharth Govilkar

Mr. Siddharth P. Govilkar is the hip fracture lead at the University Hospital of North Midlands and specialises in hip and knee orthopaedic surgery. During his studies at Queen Mary University of London, he undertook training at the prestigious St Bartholomews Hospital and Royal London Hospital. Becoming a member of The Royal College of Surgeons of England, he was able to complete his surgical training in 2012. After this, he went on to complete and attain his higher specialist surgical training in Oswestry, Shropshire at the distinguished Robert Jones Agnes Hunt Hospital. Towards the end of his training, he completed a 1-year arthroplasty and reconstructive surgical fellowship at the highly respected Wrightington Hospital – which saw the pioneering of the modern hip replacement. Having practised orthopaedics since 2009, Mr. Govilkar is very passionate about the work that he does and values making a positive change to help you during your care. This role involves managing a large multidisciplinary team, who helps 850 hip fracture patients a year. His responsibilities in the role also include high-volume elective Total hip and knee arthroplasty (hip replacement).
