Mr Shafqat Bukhari

Mr Bukhari did his FRCSEd in surgery from Royal College of surgeon Edinburgh in 1992 and then FRCS (surgical Neurology) in 1998.He completed his Neurosurgery training from Coventry and Manchester. Subsequently he gained specialist training in Spinal surgery and Paediatric Neurosurgery from Manchester and Canada.. He then went to Canada for sub-speciality training. He completed his fellowship in Functional Neurosurgery from University of Toronto in 2004 and then Fellowship in Paediatric Neurosurgery from University of British Columbia Vancouver in 2006. He later joined University Hospital Cardiff as a Consultant Neurosurgeon in 2006 and developed special interest in Paediatric Neurosurgery and Spinal surgery and subsequently moved to Manchester in 2012 and maintained the similar skills and interests. Currently he is working as Consultant in Neurosurgery & Spinal surgery at Salford Royal Hospital Manchester and Consultant Paediatric Neurosurgeon at Royal Manchester Children Hospital. He also works as a clinical tutor in Manchester University and actively involved in teaching and training of the junior doctors.
