I was first appointed to the position of NHS Consultant Ophthalmologist in 2006. Following completion of my registrar training at Mersey Deanery, I went on to gained further training as an ASTO/fellow in the subspecialties of Cornea and Oculoplastics in Liverpool. I then spent another year as a Corneal and Refractive Fellow at Moorfield Eye Hospital in London. I was the clinical lead for my department from 2008 to 2016. I regular examine for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth part 1 & 2, refractive certificate, CertLRS) and I am the current College Tutor for East Cheshire NHS Trust. I retired from NHS in 2022.
