GMC reg: 3562105I graduated from Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School, University of London in 1991 My 7 year training programme in Ophthalmology (in London & Manchester) ran from 1993-2000 I then specialised further in Oculoplastic Surgery (also known as Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery or Oculofacial Surgery) with Oculoplastic Fellowship posts in Auckland ?& Manchester, I was appointed as a Consultant Ophthalmic & Oculoplastic Surgeon at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital (MREH) in 2002. MREH is one of the largest eye hospitals in Europe. I am the Clinical Lead for Oculoplastic Surgery at MREH where I lead a team of 5 consultants, 3 oculoplastic fellows, trainees and specialist nurse practitioners I am the Clinic Lead for MREH Operating Theatres where I lead on continuing improvements in key areas such as patient safety, productivity and staff engagement I am a founder member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS) I take a keen interest in the teaching and training of surgeons: I have jointly run an internationally renowned fellowship in oculoplastic, lacrimal and orbital surgery at MREH since 2002. During this time I have trained surgeons from around the world as well as the U.K. I am the Director of the Manchester Oculoplastic, Lacrimal & Orbital Dissection Course which attracts oculoplastic surgeons from around the world. I was College Tutor for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists' Tutor for MREH from 2005-2012 I was Regional Adviser for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists 2012-2018 National recruitment for Ophthalmology training National recruitment for Cosmetic Fellowship training posts I have published in international peer-reviewed journals and have presented scientific papers in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Sweden, Spain and Belgium as well as the UK.
