Mr Sachin Malde, BSc(Hons) MBBS MSc(Urol), FRCS(Urol), is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, London. He qualified from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine in London, and completed his postgraduate research into the evaluation of post-prostatectomy incontinence at University College London. He undertook his Urology training on the prestigious South Thames rotation through the London deanery, and underwent highly specialist fellowship training at University College Hospital London. He specialises in the management of urological problems, including urinary symptoms due to benign prostate enlargement or overactive bladder, blood in the urine, urinary infections, and prostate problems. He is a specialist in female, functional, reconstructive and neuro-urology, and non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. He has expertise in the investigation and treatment of male and female urinary incontinence, bladder symptoms, bladder pain, and urinary tract infections. He performs a range of surgical procedures for these conditions, and is one of the few Urologists performing specialist procedures such as sacral nerve stimulation for bladder conditions. Mr Malde also has an interest in the management of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and performs blue-light (photodynamic) cystoscopy to optimise the diagnosis and management of superficial bladder tumours. Mr Malde provides first-class private urology services at several private hospitals across London and is approved by all major insurance companies. He has a strong academic interest and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, has been an invited speaker at national conferences, and has presented his work at international meetings. He is an associate member on the European Association of Urology Guidelines panel and has also been a tutor and examiner on a number of national specialist training courses. Mr Malde is a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS), European Association of Urology, & Royal College of Surgeons of England.
