I have a busy practice in the local area and surrounding areas and live locally. I went to medical school in Liverpool and continued my higher training in Manchester and locally in Stoke and Oswestry. My doctorate degree is held at Keele university. My NHS practice is at the Royal Stoke and County hospitals where my practice mirrors my work in the private sector. I also work across the system as the Medical Director of the STP. I lead a very active lifestyle. I love walking in Snowdonia, the Lake District and Scotland. Together with my wife we are working through walking the top 100 mountains in the UK. I hold a Private Pilots licence and fly microlight aircraft and love to sail in the Clyde area where I passed my Yatchmaster qualification a number of years ago. My other love is my motorbike and tour regularly in the local area I understand the need to keep active and for you to maintain an active lifestyle.

My special interest is knee and shoulder surgery. I have a large practice undertaking arthroscopic surgery in both the knee and shoulder. I undertake a large number of knee replacement procedures. I understand the needs of patients who have high expectations and how this can be affected by bone and joint issues. I specialise in treating sports injuries. This ethos is important in planning recovery from all musculoskeletal conditions. Its about understanding your expectations as well as the injury and considering all treatment modalities. Together we can design a recovery plan that suits your needs. I have looked after professional sport people in the area for nearly twenty years and have a close working relationship with all your local clubs.
