GMC reg: 4724742Mr. Parmar is a highly skilled consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in upper limb (arm) surgery. With expertise in trauma, joint replacement, sports injuries, and arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, he offers comprehensive care for a wide range of upper limb conditions. Having graduated from the University of Manchester in 2000, Mr. Parmar underwent rigorous postgraduate training in Manchester and Stoke before gaining valuable experience in Sydney, Australia. Subsequently, he completed his training in the North West of England, obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010, and joined the Specialist Register in 2014.Recognised for his exceptional abilities, Mr. Parmar was awarded competitive specialist fellowships at three world-renowned units: Wrightington, Liverpool Upper Limb, and Trauma at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. These fellowships provided him with extensive exposure to complex upper limb conditions and a diverse range of treatment options, including both arthroscopic (keyhole) and open techniques. Seeking continuous growth, he has also pursued advanced training in Europe and North America, acquiring new skills along the way. Notably, he has been honored with the British Elbow and Shoulder Society Mayo Elbow Fellowship. An ardent educator, Mr. Parmar has actively contributed to international and national courses, including his involvement in organising the Liverpool Upper Limb Unit courses. Currently serving as the Education Director for the Mersey region orthopaedic trainees, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare by supervising and mentoring junior doctors, participating in assessments, and teaching courses for various organisations and the British Elbow and Shoulder Society. With over a decade of experience, he was a regular instructor on the Advanced Trauma Life Support course, eventually progressing to training other instructors. He serves as a trustee of The Frostick Foundation, a charity dedicated to enhancing patient care in Liverpool. Currently holding the position of President of the North West Upper Limb Group, Mr. Parmar actively collaborates with surgeons and physiotherapists in the North West of England to advance patient care and treatment options. In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Parmar maintains a medicolegal practice, preparing reports related to personal injury and clinical negligence cases. Having volunteered as a consultant in Malawi for a year, Mr. Parmar has been recognised for his valuable experiences, being invited to share his insights on a national and international scale. This experience has fostered his commitment to supporting orthopaedics in developing countries. He has contributed chapters to textbooks specifically aimed at treating orthopaedic injuries in austere environments. He is a trustee of the registered charity North West Orthopaedic Trauma Alliance for Africa. Mr. Parmar is dedicated to providing patient-centered care.
