Mr Richard Husicka

Graduated at 1994 - Medical Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. I gained wide experience in Gynaecology in one of the largest University Hospitals in Czech Republic (reproductive gynaecology, infertility, IVF, onco-gynaecology, gynaecology scanning). I gained wide experience in Obstetrics and Fetal and Maternal Medicine in one of the largest Obstetric Unit in Czech Republic (Labour Ward Lead, amniocentesis, Obstetric scanning, operative deliveries). In the UK I worked in busy Obstetric and Gynaecology Departments in Swindon 2007-2009 and in Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital in London 2009-2011. In London I gained further experience in complex Obstetrics and worked in one of the busiest Early Pregnancy Units. I have done research work within an International ovarian tumour analysis group (IOTA) on scanning and management of ovarian cysts and tumours and results of this research have been used in current RCOG and NICE guidelines. From 2011 I have been working as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest. From 2016 I joined team in Werndale Hospital in Bancyfelin. All my career I had a strong interest in scanning in gynaecology, early pregnancy and in Obstetrics and I have strong interest in laparoscopic surgery.

Minimal invasive surgery. Laparoscopic procedures including Total laparoscopic hysterectomy. Hysteroscopy, resection of polyps and fibroids. Gynaecological ultrasound. Management of ovarian cysts and tumours. Management of heavy periods incl. endometrial ablation. Management of postmenopausal bleeding- hysteroscopy and biopsy. HRT advise. Management of fibroids - laparoscopic operation. Management of pelvic prolapse.
