GMC reg: 6043813Graduated with MBBS from JIPMER, India in 1996. Completed M.S (General Surgery) and DNB (General Surgery) in 1999. Passed FRCS (Ed) in 2001, FRCS (Glasg) in 2002 and Intercollegiate FRCS (Eng) in 2007. Appointed as Consultant Hepato-biliary and Pancreatic (HPB) Surgeon in 2010 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Developed and performed a number of advanced laparoscopic HPB Surgeries in the unit. Has been a Principal Investigator in a number of international randomised trials involving advanced laparoscopic HPB surgery including the ORANGE 2+ trial, ORANGE segments trial, DIPLOMA trial and RESTORE trial. Faculty in a number of courses teaching advanced laparoscopic skills to trainees, both nationally and internationally. Founder-member of the International Laparoscopic Liver Society (ILLS), 'Education and Training Lead' for the Minimally Invasive Liver and Pancreatic Surgery Association (MILAPS-UK) and 'UK Lead' for the European Minimally Invasive Pancreatic Surgery registry (E-MIPS). Active in research and have published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Keen on training and has been a Training Programme Director for Higher Surgical training in the West Midlands deanery and currently a Specialist Advisory Committee (SAC) member to Joint committee on Higher Surgical Training (JCST).
