Mr Philip Yates

Mr Yates was appointed as an ENT Consultant at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals in 2002. He is experienced in the treatment of general ENT disorders in both adults and children. Mr Yates has expertise in disorders of the ears and hearing. However, his wide experience and training enables him to provide high quality of care for most ENT conditions in adults and children. He carries out private consultations, investigations, treatments and surgery at Nuffield Health Newcastle Hospital. He trained in the UK but also undertook fellowship in ear disorders at the University of California, San Francisco, USA. He is one of three surgeons for the North East Regional Cochlear Implant programme. He also carries out middle ear implants and bone conduction hearing implants. Mr Yates has an interest in education and is an organiser of a National Temporal Bone Dissection course run at the Newcastle Surgical Training Centre, Freeman Hospital. Mr Yates is currently Clinical Board Chair of Surgical and Associated Specialties at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals.
