GMC reg: 4183178Mr Tassone’s current NHS practice is based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH), where he is a core member of Thyroid and Parathyroid Multidisciplinary groups. He is also the Deputy Training Program Director for Specialist Registrars in ENT Surgery in the East of England Deanery. Mr Tassone graduated from the University of Birmingham and completed his Senior House Officer training at The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in London, including time spent on the Professorial Unit. He then trained as a Specialist Registrar in Eastern England, including Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and the NNUH. He completed my sub-specialist training as a Head and Neck Fellow in Melbourne, Australia at the Western Hospital and the Petermac Cancer Institute. Here he gained a wide exposure in the management and surgery of many complex head and neck cancers. In 2011 he received a 'CARES' Award from the Western Hospital. Mr Tassone is a keen teacher, acknowledged in 2019 when he received the Silver award for Clinical Teaching at NNUH and nominated for Clinical Tutor of the Year in 2010 and 2011 at Western Clinical School, Melbourne. He has also written various book chapters and co-author of a book for surgical training called “Bullet Points in ENT” first published in 2014

Mr Tassone has an interest in general ENT and sub-specialises in neck lumps including thyroid, salivary gland and others (lymph nodes, branchial/ thyroglossal cysts). He also performs surgery for parathyroid disease (parathyroidectomy). Mr Tassone has an interest in hoarse voice (dysphonia) and difficulty swallowing (dysphagia). He has an established NHS practice in Trans-nasal oesophagoscopy (TNO).
