Mr Paul Spraggs is a Consultant in ENT/Head and Neck Surgery at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and Honorary Consultant in Head and Neck Oncological Surgery at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. He works in private practice at the Candover Clinic and the Hampshire Clinic. His undergraduate and postgraduate medical and surgical training were undertaken in London and included periods of training in Head and Neck surgery in Miami, Florida, and fellowships in Head and Neck oncology and thyroid surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. He was awarded the EAFPS fellowship in Facial Plastics surgery in 1997 and spent 3 months working with Professor Rolf Nordstrom in Helsinki. He is the ENT UK Council Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and council member of ENT UK. He is Clinical Lead for Head and Neck skin cancer surgery, Head and Neck cancer and Thyroid surgery at Hampshire Hospitals NHS FT He is a member of the Head and Neck and thyroid MDTs in the Royal Surrey County Hospital and both the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital’s skin cancer and the regional skin cancer MDT. As well as his clinical work, he has an interest in Training and Education and is the Curriculum Lead for the Specialist Advisory Committee for Otolaryngology and an Examiner for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons.
