Mr Norbert Kang-Budialam

I am a graduate of Imperial College (1989) and have been working as a consultant plastic surgeon in London since 2002. First at Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood and then at the Royal Free Hospital from 2006. I have specific interests in amputee reconstruction using osseointegrated bone-anchors combined with complex soft-tissue procedures (e.g. targeted muscle reinnervation surgery). I also carry out complex reconstruction after trauma to any part of the human anatomy. This reflects my NHS practice which covers complex reconstruction after trauma (especially hand trauma), congenital deformity (especially hypospadias, congenital hand deformities and ear deformities) and cancer surgery (especially after skin cancer, cranioplasty after neurosurgery and perineal reconstruction after colorectal surgery). I have an active research portfolio that covers a range of topics including rheumatoid arthritis, hand surgery, targeted muscle reinnervation surgery, osseointegration surgery, nerve surgery and hypospadias surgery.
