GMC reg: 7520047Max is a fully certified (UK and EU) Trauma and Orthopaedic consultant surgeon. Following international fellowship training in Oxford at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, in London at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, and Toronto at the Hospital for Sick Children, he now works as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Oxford at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre with a sub-specialist interest and in Paediatric Orthopaedics, Hip Dysplasia and Hip Preservation Surgery, Limb Reconstruction and Bone Infection, and Tumours/Sarcoma. He is also a Medical Expert in the medicolegal field of Trauma and Orthopaedics. Max is a keen team player and member. Apart from surgical excellence, he is an experienced leader in clinical management and service improvements, including digital innovation, increased productivity, patient safety, service redesign and integrated care pathways. His experience includes being Sarcoma Lead for Paediatric Orthopaedic Sarcoma leading multi-disciplinary teams, Clinical Governance Lead, and also includes elected positions of responsibility on national and international committees, and captain of a national sports team. In his free time, he enjoys travelling with his wife (and dog), and enjoy running, climbing, skiing and socialising with friends, family and colleagues. He is fluent in English, French and Maltese.
