Mr Luke Clifford

Mr Luke Clifford trained in ophthalmology in the Wessex region before undertaking sub specialist fellowships in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at University Hospital Southampton and Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge.  He has extensive experience in general ophthalmology and cataract surgery, paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. He is a full time consultant ophthalmologist and clinical lead for paediatric ophthalmology at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust working across the Basingstoke and Winchester sites. Mr Clifford sees private patients at BMI sarum Road, Winchester and The Candover Clinic, Basingstoke. He will also see patients between his NHS clinics in Winchester and Basingstoke if it is felt the patient needs additional assessments which cannot be provided at the private clinics to save patients from requiring multiple visits. He is a senior examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, running one of the national exams, as well as College Tutor. He is actively involved in teaching and training.
