Mr Kiran Singisetti

I completed basic and higher surgical training in the North East of England. This was followed by the Cavendish Lower Limb arthroplasty fellowship at Sheffield and AO Trauma Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA.  I have been working as an Orthopaedic Consultant at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust since August 2016. I have been awarded the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) travelling fellowship (Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto), British Association of Surgeons of Knee (BASK) fellowship (New Delhi) and the Charnley Latta Travelling Scholarship (ENDO-Klinik, Hamburg). I have interest in medical education at all levels. I teach on several regional, national and international courses for surgical trainees.  I have presented work at international meetings such as American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, British Orthopaedic Association and various other subspecialty conferences. I have authored several publications, book chapters and co-edited an Orthopaedic book. 

I am an orthopaedic consultant with subspecialty interest in hip and knee surgery. My clinical practice involves high volume primary and revision (redo) hip and knee replacement surgery. I also deal with sports knee problems including meniscal and ACL injuries.  In my NHS practice, I have a keen interest in trauma management and improvements in hip fracture patient care. I perform various trauma related procedures including complex periarticular and periprosthetic fracture fixation of lower limb.
