Mr Khalid Malik

I am a fellowship-trained orthopaedic consultant with a specialist interest in hip and knee surgery. My surgical expertise includes primary total hip and knee replacements, unicompartmental knee replacements, knee arthroscopy, and revision hip and knee replacement procedures. I also utilise innovative and modern technology in hip and knee replacements, performing these procedures with state-of-the-art robotic technology. In specific cases, I offer customised implants for both hip and knee replacements, ensuring a tailored approach to each patient’s needs. I graduated from Imperial College London, School of Medicine in 2012. Following my higher specialty training in Kent, Surrey & Sussex, I completed a specialist fellowship at the renowned Wrightington Hospital, internationally recognised as the birthplace of modern lower limb arthroplasty. During this fellowship, I developed expertise in managing complex hip and knee disorders, revision surgery, impaction bone grafting, custom hip and knee replacements, and the direct anterior approach for hip surgery. I was also honoured to receive the British Hip Society Travelling Fellowship Bursary, which allowed me to visit the orthopaedic unit at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, an international centre of excellence for hip and knee replacement surgery. My primary focus is on ensuring that my patients fully understand their medical conditions and feel actively involved in their treatment decisions. I place clear communication, empathy, and collaborative decision-making at the heart of patient care.
