Mr Jonathan Bernstein

Mr Bernstein is a consultant ENT/ Head and Neck Surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare, the Cromwell Hospital and the Wellington Hospital. He subspecialises in ear, nose and throat, salivary gland surgery, head and neck tumour surgery including oral cancers and diagnostics, thyroid, and all lumps in the neck. From London originally, Jonathan qualified at Bristol in 2002. After completing Calman specialist registrar training in the north west, he undertook a comprehensive subspecialist fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology, endocrine head and neck surgery and reconstructive microsurgery at the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery, University of Toronto at Toronto General and Mount Sinai hospitals, and the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre on a three-year programme (2013-16). Mr Bernstein completed a two-year period of translational research in head and neck cancer at the Christie cancer centre and was granted a doctorate by the University of Manchester (2013). He has undertaken research in cancer biomarkers, DCE-MRI, surgical technology and clinical outcomes. He is a member of the FRCS examinations board for the surgical specialty of otolaryngology the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists and the American Head and Neck Society. He enjoyed providing head, neck and thyroid surgical services for the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. Jonathan and his wife, an interventional radiologist, have climbed Aconcagua in the Andes. They have 2 children and enjoy walking in the mountains on holiday.
