GMC reg: 5202026I am a general surgeon with a specialist interest in open and laparoscopic surgery. Following my medicine qualification and masters in general surgery in India, I completed basic surgical training and membership examinations in the UK. After a period of research at Royal Free Hospital and University College, London, I gained specialist surgical training (colorectal and general surgery) in the South West Thames region. I completed my training with a senior fellowship in recurrent rectal cancer and pelvic floor surgery at St Thomas' Hospital, London. Since January 2016, I have been working as full time substantive consultant surgeon in NHS as well as private sector. My practice mainly involves elective general and colorectal surgery along with on-call commitments for all surgical emergencies. As a fully trained surgeon, I offer expertise in open and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for bowel cancer and inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis). I also offer Single Port Laparoscopic (Single incision keyhole) surgery for bowel pathology. Along with laparoscopic surgery for hernias (groin, abdominal, incisional), I also deal with all aspects of ano-proctology (piles, fissures, fistulas, etc) including HALO and THD. I also specialise in trans-anal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) for large rectal polyps and early rectal cancer. I am an accredited endoscopist (OGD, Colonoscopy and polyp removal). I do robotic colorectal and general surgical procedures. Specialist training in pelvic floor dysfunction allows me to offer patients effective management of evacuatory disorders and rectal prolapse. I lead pelvic floor services at my NHS trust and also perform endoanal ultrasound and anal physiology studies. I also offer surgical intervention for pelvic floor disorders such as rectocele repair, rectal prolapse and fecal incontinence surgery. I specialize in medical and surgical management of functional bowel problems including long term constipation.
