Mr James Tibbott

I am a Consultant Gynaecologist offering general gynaecological services, advice and treatment for chronic pelvic pain and menstrual dysfunction. My main areas of interest are advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) and minimal access surgery for the diagnosis and subsequent management of all stages of endometriosis, the removal of fibroids and cysts and total laparoscopic hysterectomies. I adopt a holistic and patient-centred approach to providing a diverse range of evidence-based treatment options including conservative, medical and surgical management. I specialise in advanced laparoscopic surgery and I am a trained robotic surgeon. I additionally offer outpatient hysteroscopy clinics and have expertise in the management of menstrual dysfunction. I also offer comprehensive management plans of pre-menopausal and post-menopausal symptoms and support you to navigate the vast range of hormone replacement therapies including testosterone replacement and medications that may not be available in local hospitals. I am the regional Yorkshire and Humber laparoscopic simulation lead and I have been a member of the task and finish group for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the national training programme.
