Mr Childs undertook his medical educational at the University of St. Andrews, University of Manchester, and his specialist Orthopaedic training within the North West of England. After completing his training and becoming a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons, he undertook two fellowships to further his expertise in the management of knee and hip disorders. The first was at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital where the focus was on joint preservation and the second at Wrightington Hospital where the focus was on joint replacement. His practice is evidence based and patient specific. Mr Childs thinks it is important for patients to be fully informed about the options that are available for the management of their symptoms and to tailor their treatment accordingly.
