GMC reg: 6111972My ethos is to deliver the best and safest evidence-based care tailored to you. This may be surgical or non-surgical. The main aim is to help you get on with your life as quickly and as well as possible. It is an incredible privilege to be able to serve others by practising what I love. I was appointed as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in 2019 at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust where I specialise in Hand, Plastic and Microsurgery. I also work at the National Spinal Injuries Centre where I perform reconstructive surgery for complex pressure ulcers and tetraplegia upper limb to enable people with spinal cord injuries to gain better hand function. As a surgeon, I completed specialist Plastic and Reconstructive surgical training in the Oxford Deanery. I was then awarded a Travelling Bursary by the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) as well as an Overseas Scholarship to undertake sub-specialist fellowship training in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the world-renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. This comprehensive training has provided me with the skillset to deal with common as well as complex problems related to Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery. Prior to this, I completed a DPhil (PhD) as a Senior Scholar at Oxford University and my medical degree at Cambridge University. I believe it is important to offer the best and safest, evidence-based treatments. My involvement in research allows me to do this. As a Clinical Lecturer at Oxford University, I continue to publish regularly in medical journals as well as surgical textbooks. I have also contributed to national guidance on traumatic limb reconstruction. Over the years, I have held research awards and grants from institutions including the Wellcome Trust, Academy of Medical Sciences, Royal College of Surgeons of England, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and BAPRAS. I am constantly looking to improve the care we provide. And there is no better way than to train others. I serve as a GMC-recognised trainer and member of the Education and Training Committee of the British Society of Surgery for the Hand. I serve as peer-reviewer for medical journals, run a regular national Microsurgery training course, present at national and international conferences and host ‘Stoke Mandeville Plastics’, a popular webinar series for plastic surgeons worldwide, focusing on the cutting edge of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Outside surgery, I am blessed to have a wonderful family and enjoy playing the violin. Languages: English, Cantonese
