Mr Guirgis Awad

Guirgis Awad, FRCS (Plast), FEBOPRAS, MSc, MRCS, MBBCh Is a highly experienced consultant plastic surgeon with over 20 years of experience in plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic surgery . He is the GMC specialist registry for plastic surgery. He is the lead clinician for breast reconstruction and breast corrective surgeries in the NHS at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is the plastic surgery lead for oncoplastic breast MDT (multidisciplinary team) meetings. He treats private patients at Kinvara Hospital, in Rotherham as well as through Enhance medical group. Mr Awad performs over 300 cosmetic surgery procedure per year including a significant number of breast augmentation, breast reduction, body contouring, mastopexy, augmentation mastopexy, tummy tuck, abdominoplasty, body contouring, blepharoplasty and facelifts. He is renowned for excellent cosmetic outcomes and patient care, evidenced by genuine patient feedback . Mr. Awad acquired his medical degree (MBBCh) at Cairo University, Egypt, in 2003 with Honours He completed 5 years of plastic surgery training in extremely busy units in Cairo He accomplished Master's degree in Plastic Surgery in 2010 at the same university He later moved to the UK and completed 6 years of training in plastic surgery at a senior level in prestigious plastic surgery units and 3 senior fellowships in; reconstructive surgery, Breast microsurgery and cosmetic surgery He became a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2015 (FEBOPRAS) He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Plastic Surgery since 2017 (FRCS-Plast) He has been a full-time consultant plastic surgeon in the NHS since 2018, specialising mainly in microvascular breast reconstruction and breast corrective surgeries. Mr. Awad has extensive experience in breast cosmetic and corrective procedures; breast reduction, augmentation, mastopexy and gynecomastia correction. He performs in excess of 200 breast cosmetic procedure per year. He also has expertise in a wide range of cosmetic procedures including; body contouring surgery, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), liposuction , arm lifts, thigh lifts, otoplasty and facial cosmetic surgery, such as blepharoplasty, brow lift, lip lift, facelift and otoplasty (prominent ear correction) Alongside his clinical work, Mr. Awad is active in clinical research and has several publications. In addition, he has presented his work both nationally and internationally. He is an honorary lecturer at the University of Sheffield.
