Thank you for visiting my PHIN Profile page. I am a Consultant Orthopaedic & Spinal Surgeon based in North London and am available for consultation and treatment at a various Hospitals in the area. After graduating from the Armed Forces’ Medical College in India, I underwent post-graduate training in both India & the UK, with Specialist Fellowship training in: - Spinal Fellowship from Oswestry - Hip and Knee Fellowship from Wrightington My specialist interest is in Spinal Surgery and Hip/Knee Arthroplasty. With the increasing awareness that Hip and Spinal disorders can coexist and interact with each other, my Dual Fellowship training has been invaluable in enabling me to help this further subgroup of patients. The range of treatments I offer reflects my NHS practice. I am also an Educational Supervisor to Orthopaedic Trainees. My Professional Society memberships include: - British Association of Spinal Surgeons (BASS: www.spinesurgeons.ac.uk) - British Orthopaedic Association (BOA: www.boa.ac.uk) I am also a keen Trauma surgeon and am strongly committed to teaching Trauma Management skills both to our local Trainees, and also Nationally as part of the AO faculty (www.aofoundation.org).

I accept referrals of patients with: Back, Hip, Knee and neck pain; Coexisting Hip & Spinal confirions (incl with previous surgeries in either area) Nerve pain: Sciatica, Arm pain; Degenerative disc disease (DDD); Spondylolisthesis; Degenerative spinal deformity; Vertebral collapse fractures (osteoporotic fractures); Sacro-Iliac pain; Complex spinal / musculoskeletal pain; Arthritis ~ I have a special interest in the Ageing Spine and Hip-Spine Syndromes, and in managing these conditions with both surgical and non-surgical approaches. The treatments I offer for these conditions include... Spinal Injections; Discectomy; Spinal decompression; Kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty; Dynamic spinal stabilization, spinal motion preservation; Spinal fusion; and... Hip & Knee replacement, particularly with pre-existing spinal conditions. ~ I am also available to consult for and treat Lower Limb Arthritis (Hip and Knee Replacement, Arthroscopy) & complex musculoskeletal trauma.
